FAQs
Is Carrera Shampoo secure for all types of paints?
Carrera Velvet Shampoo is safe on all paint types and clear coats & conditioners reveal color and clarity and leave your paint with a radiant shine.
Can I take my car through the wash if I just had it painted?
Soft-cloth car washes using mild
cleaning materials are safe for newly painted surfaces. But if you just had your car painted yesterday, then no. It is okay to have your car hand-washed
the next day, but your new paint needs to cure before you can safely take it through an automatic wash. Most body shops will recommend 30 days to allow it to cure enough for the car wash. And that paint needs to breathe a good 60 days
before you can apply a coat of wax. Otherwise, it will not fully cure – a
condition that can lead to paint failure in the future.
What’s the best way to wash my car?
Bucket Method
- Pour 100ml shampoo into 5 liters of clean water. Wet the surface of the car first.
- Clean the car with shampoo solution using a soft cloth.
- Rinse with clean water & dry with a soft & clean dry cloth.

When and how often does my car need to be washed?
There are different factors that
determine how often you should wash your car. If road conditions are making your car dirty on a regular basis, you may need to wash more often. Generally,
a wash at least every second week is a good guideline to follow. But dirt, debris, bugs, salt, calcium chloride, and more can damage your car with chips,
scratches, and rust. So to protect your investment and keep your paint from dulling, it’s important to keep your car clean.
